What is Microblading?
Microblading is a process that involves
making microscopic incisions while implanting pigment into the upper layers of the skin to create the illusion of fuller and defined natural eyebrows. This process goes by several different names - Microblading, feathering, eyebrow embroidery and 3-D brows, to name a few. Of all the methods developed, the PhiBrows technique has constantly delivered the most beautiful and natural results.
What is PhiBrows®?
"PhiBrows" is the technique of hyper-realistic eyebrow drawing in which the shape of eyebrows is calculated according to facial morphology and golden proportion (PHI 1, 618). PhiBrows technique is used worldwide and the PhiBrows logo is recognized as a sign of prestige, supreme skill and equipment.
How does it work?
The pigment is implanted with a hand held tool that has a row of several fine needles to create thin, hair- like marks in the skin. The pigment is chosen to match the natural hair or eyebrows’ color. Strokes are always drawn in the direction of your natural hair growth to achieve the hyper-realistic look.
How long does the initial treatment take?
The entire appointment should take around 2 hours. The beginning of your appointment will be spent measuring and drawing out your new brows using a combination of a golden mean caliper, a stick-on ruler and cutting-edge technology to calculate the shape of your ideal look. All factors are taken into consideration such as the shape of your face, the size and position of your eyes, as well as the color, density and growth patterns of your natural eyebrow hair. The final segment of your appointment will be the actual Microblading procedure, which takes approximately 45 minutes.
What is the Microblading healing process like?
Your new eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle. True reflection of healed color can only be assessed 3-4 weeks after treatment. It will go from too dark, to too light, to just right!
What happens during the touch-up treatment?
A touch-up is recommended 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment and is included in the cost. During your touch-up, Amy will fill in missing hairs, add or make hairs longer, or just create a darker color if needed.
Is Microblading painful?
The service can be a little uncomfortable for those who are more sensitive. However, after the first few strokes are placed in the skin, a topical anesthetic is applied to keep it tolerable.
How long does Microblading last?
Color duration primarily depends on how oily the skin is. The oilier the skin, the shorter the color stays. Sweating, sun exposure and exfoliating skincare products are things you may want to avoid in order to protect your investment.
You should expect your beautiful eyebrows to last about 12 months.
What do I need to do to prepare for Microblading?
• Do not drink alcohol 24 hours prior to treatment.
• Do not take aspirin, fish oil, Vitamin E, ibuprofen, or any form of blood thinners not prescribed by a doctor, 24 hours before treatment.
Are there any contraindications for Microblading?
• Pregnancy & breastfeeding
• If you have tendency to form keloids
• Any bleeding disorders
• You’ve recently had Botox, Xeomin or Dysport treatment (must wait 2 weeks)
